Ceremonial contracting signature with Epuramat in Canada

Posted February 22nd, 2013

Luxembourg 3 May 2012 – As part of the forthcoming economic mission to Canada, led by H.R.H. the Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg and the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Etienne Schneider, delegation member Epuramat today announces the official contract signing of a major sales and distribution contract with the Canadian wastewater service provider Black Opal Energy Services Inc. (Black Opal). The ceremonial signing takes place in presence of H.R.H. the Hereditary Grand Duke and Minister Schneider during a cleantech business seminar bringing together Canadian and Luxembourgish companies on May 11 in Vancouver.

The Luxembourgish water and wastewater treatment specialist Epuramat is already experienced in the Canadian market as the company started its International business with the containerized wastewater treatment plant Box4Water right there; Epuramat received the initial order of its new system in 2010 from Black Opal in Canada. At that time Black Opal started to build up a fleet of mobile wastewater treatment plants to be offered to operators of oilfield, construction, mining, municipalities, First Nations and logging camps across Canada. Looking for a compact, extreme temperature compliant and cost-efficient wastewater treatment solution, the Canadian service provider identified the young cleantech company from Luxembourg.

Two years later Black Opal today possesses a considerable fleet of Box4Water plants that are operational in camps in Western Canada. After a successful season in the oilsands, Black Opal places an order for additional units of Box4Water, to be delivered before the winter of 2012. The ceremonial contract signature takes place during a cleantech business seminar for Luxembourgish and Canadian enterprises, organized by the Luxembourgish Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade in the Vancouver Fairmont Waterfront Hotel on May 11, 2012. H.R.H. the Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg and the Minister of Foreign Trade Etienne Schneider will be present at this event as well as representatives of the local and Luxembourgish press.

“We are delighted about the ongoing positive response to our Box4Water,” said Epuramat Marketing and Sales Director Dirk Martin. “In the course of the ceremonial sales contract signing, both our parties would like to take the opportunity to extend the timeframe of our current distribution agreement and accordingly increase the related contract value by several million Euros. We are looking forward to many more successful years in cooperation with Black Opal.”

Black Opal President Russell Entwistle added: “With the Box4Water we offer innovative technology with outstanding performance and quality characteristics in Canada. As the features of the system even exceed the requirements of the Canadian market, we are convinced that our success story with Epuramat will yield great business opportunities in the future. Reliable decentralized wastewater treatment systems with high performance, in challenging environmental circumstances, are seeing an unabated strong demand.”
