Contern, 17 June 2011 – Epuramat, the specialized low energy water and wastewater treatment company, today announced that it had concluded a multimillion dollar distribution agreement over several years with Black Opal Energy Services, which has also ordered several Box4Water wastewater treatment plants. These turn-key installations will be used to clean wastewater from remote working sites on Canadian territory.

This distribution agreement will enable Epuramat to distribute its Box4Water wastewater treatment solutions across Canada, with Black Opal Energy Services, a Canadian water service provider, acting as a local sales partner. Black Opal Energy Services has also ordered several new Box4Water treatment plants of different sizes that will be delivered during the following months. These wastewater treatment plants are of new generation and characterised by numerous innovations, increased treatment capacity and a very compact construction.

Speaking on the new partnership with Black Opal, Bogdan Serban, CEO of Epuramat, commented: “We are delighted to have signed this new distribution agreement with Black Opal, which will enable us to reliably establish ourselves on the Canadian market. As there are few alternative solutions available in the marketplace as compact and as energy efficient as ours, we see great growth opportunities. We appreciate the confidence Black Opal Energy Services showed by granting us with so many recurring orders.”

Russell Entwistle, President of Black Opal Energy Services added: “With no access to the public sewer systems, remote work site operators were spending a huge amount of time and money addressing this issue. Epuramat’s Box4Water represents an excellent solution as it offers an onsite, cost and energy efficient, chemical free waste water treatment. We are pleased to distribute and operate Epuramat’s products because of their efficiency, compactness and technological advantage over current offerings. We have been working with Epuramat for almost two years and this distributorship contract marks our mutual trust and our close cooperation to offer water treatment solutions in Canada. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Epuramat over many years to come.”

As client of Epuramat since 2009, Black Opal has continuously increased its product fleet with containerized waste water treatment plants - Box4Water – from Epuramat in order to cope with the high demand from remote logging, mining and oil extraction working sites. Epuramat’s plants combine the most advanced technologies to treat sewage water in mobile and compact, containerized installations so that water can remotely be discharged in compliance with the strict Canadian legislation. All Epuramat plants are built around the proprietary ExSep® technology.
